What is Beautiful?

So, I am constanly seeing things that are screaming you should be this way, you should look like this....do all these things and you will be happy? How much truth is to that? If you spend all this time making yourself better when are you ever going to truly be happy. I think you should embrace who God has made you to be. We are here on this earth to love, to love despite anything and everything that is thrown in our direction. I don't see anywhere in scripture that says Jesus took preference on anyone, that he picked and choosed who He was going to love on and who was left out. He didn't, He loved on whoever was there, whoever was open. We are all flawed, thats just part of being human, but there is a God who isn't and we need to search for want He says and not worry about what everyone else does...

My birthday

Today is my birthday and I wish I could say something amazing happened to me today, but it didn't. I got up, went to class, had lunch with some pretty cool kids, and came home after which I went to work. PLus, to add insult to injury I have a killer eye infection, that just won't seem to go away. I shouldn't say my whole day was a waste, b/c that would be a lie. Some really great friends took me out to lunch, my mom left me a really sweet card wishing me luck on my last first day of college, and my boss at work bought me a cake and some flowers. So, maybe it's those little sweet blessings that should be more focused on than the eye infection, work, of having to go to school.

untill we meet again.........Courtney

My Newest Obsession...

So, when I have time from work, babysitting and the mountains of homework my science methods teacher finds it nesscary to give us, i have this newest facination that I just cannot get enough of. I will probably be obsessed untill i read all the books.
The book series is called Pretty Little Liars and it is just soooo intense. I love it. ABC family turned it into a TV show and I love that too. It gives me a healthy break and escape from my chaotic life which is a plus. And it is so interesting, I am dying to know who A is, which is why you keep watching a reading.

Thats all for now....Untill next time.....Courtney

Long Time,....No See

So, it's been a little bit since I have blogged. But, I have been slightly busy. Babysitting, working, and doing school work. Oh yeah, and hanging out with friends when I have a spare minute or two, this is really getting old. I miss my friends. So, I have this new dirty obsession with a show on ABC Fam called Pretty Little Liars. I have started reading the books, I am on Book #2. I would be farther but I had to wait on Amazon FOREVER to send it to me, anyway now that it's here...it's on.

So, I have had a horrible week. I am babysitting two kids during the day and they have been cocking attitudes left and right all week. I dunno what the problem is, but I had all I could stand today. I called their dad and took them to their grandmas, I don't care whose kids you are, you're not going to talk to me like I am the dirt underneath your sneakers just because, "my daddy pays you to play with me." I think not, I hate  it, but they need to know the world isn't as nice as Ms. Courtney.  But, enough about the rotten heathens I babysit.

Is it sad that I am ready for semester to start? Mostly, to get it over with but also to have social interation with people over the age of 10 again. It's depressing, but true. I kinda miss the weekly freak out of due dates and projects coming up. :) Who knows maybe this semester will surprise us? Doubtful...............
I miss my Block 2 girls and Jordan. haha.

On a lighter note, I passed my Praxis 2! Which is exciting. I am glad to be done with it. Passing means I get to do my internship in the spring which is a plus. :) I am so ready to be done and start teaching kids. I know I sort of bashed the one's I am babysitting in a earlier paragraph, but I do really love kids and enjoy working with them. I just am not going to let two spoiled brats walk all of me, becasue their daddys pays me to watch them they don't think I will make them do what they are supposed to do.....reality check,.....you're wrong! You're daddy can fire me, before I let you talk to people like they are dirt. He doesn't pay me enough to put up with you're crap.

I have kinda just jumped around this whole entry. But, Sheena's been telling me I need to update. So, here it is, it isn't great but it's me right now. And what's going on...:)

March

Well, since I pretty much skipped February as far as the whole blog thing goes...I guess I will post right now, due to the fact that I have a mountain of work to do and no desire whatsoever to do any of it.
So, I came to the realization today, that just because you continue to obsses and strees over things isn't going to make them any easier to get done. I just automaticallly panic when I think about all the assignments/projects we have due and spring break is next week...which means only a month and a hlaf untill we are done....and they willl all be due in that time frame.

Also, you know that guy whose your friend, and he realizes that he wants more with you, but you don't see it and then once you finally see it, you have probably missed your chance?....I have hit that stage.....and it sucks.

Snow Snow Snow

Okay, so rarely does it ever snow in Arkansas, but the snow that is coming down now is practically unheard of....I have never seen it snow this hard for this long of time...it's so pretty outside.

Hear are some pictures of what i looked like this morning before the snow hit this afternoon...this is from the ice mess we got last night.

But, then around 2 or so it started to snow and this is what it looks like now.....

Snow makes everything so pretty.

Pirates...Arghh

So, school is now in full swing and things are moving at a pretty okay pace for me right now. We just knocked out our first group project for Lang/Lit in about an hour and half, which isn't half bad if i do say so myself...I am going to post all of the groups in Block 1's posters after my spill....Our's it the pirate one, hints the name of this entry. Well, that's about all for right now, schools pretty much taking up my life right now, besides work.

This is our reading poster!

Our group! Rachel, Molly, Harmony, Nichole, Me and Whitney

Sarah, Jacque, Allyson, Melissa, Katie, and Chelsea with their "Swingin Readers" poster!

"Flying Readers!"
Jessie and Whitney's group

"Glowing Readers"
Jordan, Jacqueline and Sydnee's group

"Undercover Readers"
Joy and Nikki's group

So, as you can see we did some pretty cool stuff, i think anyways. Wouldn't your kids be excited about reading if these posters where in their classroom? I think so! :)

We are having a team meeting Monday night for our relay for life team. I am really excited about this year, so many good things are happening we got out shirts DONATED i know right,..but we will actually make some profit from them this year instead of lose money like last year. I am excited about it....we are going to start working on some fundraisers, so it should be pretty eventful..

Untill next time....

Gotta go Back...

Spring semester starts tomorrow and I am not going to lie, I am not excited about it. This break didn't seem long enough,  but I guess breaks never do.  I guess I am going to spend my last day before returning to school watching movies and hanging out with the family.

Getting ready to start relay stuff. I am excited, last year we raised over 2500 dollars for the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life and we are hoping to better that this year. This years theme is Rockin for a Cure, idea taken from the popular video game Rockband. It should be good though. Amber and I are going to start planning fundraisers and things to get people involved and raise money for a wonderful cause.

Stay optamistic and enthusiastic....it's the only way to survive this rollercoaster called life.
